About

Old songs, new songs, one warm groove

HelenOnEarth is the stage name of Helen R Blake, a touring singer-songwriter based in Mid Wales, with roots in the North East of England. Her music moves between acoustic reggae, fusion and folk: old tunes reworked, new ones written, all carried by a powerful voice and a driving rhythmic groove.

She has spent years on the festival and open-mic circuit, from the bar stage at Solfest to live sessions at Blackbyre Studios. She gathered it together into When We Gather, twelve tracks that set her own writing alongside Amazing Grace and Masters of War, first self-released in 2018 and out on streaming everywhere since 2024.

The thread through all of it is the line she keeps coming back to: raising musical vibrations, bringing old and new songs to the nation.
